Kamada Ekadashi Fast Story

Kamada Ekadashi fast was narrated by Shri Krishna to Dharmaraja Yudhishthira. Vashistha Muni narrated this story to King Dileep before Shri Krishna.

This story is about a city named Bhogipur, whose king was Pundarik. Apsara, Kinnar and Gandharva lived in Bhogipur city. Lalita and Lalit used to live in this city with very luxurious women. There was so much affection between them that they could not stay apart from each other even for some time.

Lalit reached the king's court one day to sing with the Gandharvas. But as she sang, she remembered Lalita and her voice deteriorated. On this, the angry King Pundarik cursed Lalit to become a demon and at that moment Lalit became a giant monster. His body turned eight.

When his wife Lalita came to know about this, she became very sad and tried to find a way out. Lalita, who followed her husband, reached Vindhyachal mountain. He found Shringi Rishi there. Lalitha told the whole situation and requested Shringi Rishi to give some remedies. Shringi Rishi told Lalitha that Chaitra Shukla Ekadashi is going to come, whose name is Kamada Ekadashi. By observing this, all human actions are proved. If you do the fast of Kamada Ekadashi and give the fruits of its virtue to your husband, then he will soon be freed from the demon's vagina and the curse of the king will also be calmed down.

After listening to this Muni, Lalita started fasting Chaitra Shukla Ekadashi. On the day of Dwadashi she would provide food to the Brahmins and donate them. Giving the fruits of Ekadashi fast to her husband, she started praying to God in this way - O Lord! This fast that I have done, the fruit of it should be received by my husband, so that those demons are freed from the devils.

As soon as giving the fruit of Ekadashi, her husband got rid of the demon's vagina and regained his old form. Then, with many beautiful robes and jewelery, he started to Vihar with Lalita. After that, both of them boarded the plane and went to Swargalok. Vashist Muni started saying, 'O Rajan! By observing this fast, all sins are destroyed and the vagina of demons etc. is also left. There is no other fast in the world equal to this. By reading or listening to its story, one gets the fruits of Vajpayee Yagya.
