Shree panchmukhi hanuman

Ahiravan lit five lamps for Maa Bhavani, which were placed in five different places in five directions. Slaughter of Ahiravana was possible only when these five lamps were extinguished simultaneously. Therefore, Hanuman took the form of Panchmukhi to kill Ahiravan. The five faces of Shri Panchmukhi Hanuman are as follows, Varaha Mukha in the north direction, Narasimha Mukha in the south, Garuda Mukha in the west, Hayagreeva Mukha towards the sky and Hanuman Mukha in the east. Wearing this form, he extinguished all the five lamps and killed Ahiravana and freed Shri Rama and Lakshmana.

Because often know some unknown or some mistake in worship. If possible, feed jaggery and gram on this day. It is considered auspicious to feed jaggery and gram to monkeys on this day.

Importance of Hanuman Jayanti

According to the scriptures, Lord Hanuman was born on this day. Bajrangbali was considered the 11th Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. Hanuman ji's father's name was Kesari and mother's name was Anjana. Ram devotee Hanuman is also called Chiranjeevi which means never dying. Apart from Bajrangbali, Hanuman ji is also known as Pawansut, Mahavir, Balibima, Anjanisut, Sankat Mochan, Anjaneya, Maruti and Rudra. On the day of Hanuman Jayanti, devotees go to the temple and worship Bajrangbali with the rituals of worship. Also, on this day Hanuman ji is offered as Bhog of vermilion and Prasad of Bundi. How was Kesari Nandan Maruti named Hanuman?

There is a famous anecdote associated with it. This incident took place in Hanumanji's childhood. One day Maruti woke up from his sleep and was hungry. They saw red ripe fruit on a tree nearby. Which they left to eat. Actually, what Maruti considered red ripe fruit was Suryadev. It was the day of Amavasya and Rahu was about to eclipse the Sun. But before they could eclipse the sun, Hanuman ji swallowed the sun. Rahu could not understand what was happening? He sought help from Indra. When Lord Hanuman did not liberate Suryadev on repeated requests of Indradev, Indra struck at his face with barge, which freed Suryadev. At the same time, Maruti faintly falls from the sky towards the earth. Pawandev gets angry with this incident and takes Maruti with him in a cave. As a result, there is a quarrel in the creatures on Earth. To stop this destruction, all the Gods urge Pawan Dev to renounce their wrath and flow life on earth. All the gods bestow many divine powers as a boon to Maruti and grant them a boon to be worshiped under the name Hanuman. From that day onwards, Maruti was named Hanuman.

Hanuman ji Birth Story

Ram bhakta Hanuman ji is considered the most influential deity of the Kali-yuga and the 11th Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. Pleased with his penance, Lord Shiva gave him a boon that he would be born from Anjana's womb. Hanuman ji is also known as Vayuputra. Because the time when Hanuman ji swallowed the sun. At that time Indra attacked him with Vraj. After which Pawan Dev stopped the flow of air from the three worlds. After this, all the gods gave blessings to Hanuman ji.
